Ace Glass made the decisive three-point play with 10.2 seconds left, sealing the win for Washington State. Vide attempted to force overtime with a 12-foot shot in the lane, but it bounced off the rim.

The Lions have struggled since a 6-0 start, going 4-6 in their last 10 games. They lost their WCC opener at home to Saint Mary’s 78-73 on December 28 before defeating Pacific 80-71 two nights later.

“Nothing’s easy. Our league’s good,” said Lions coach Stan Johnson after the victory over Pacific. “When you get a win, you’ve got to enjoy it.”

Rodney Brown Jr. and Myron Amey Jr. share the team scoring lead at 14.9 points per game. Brown has made a team-high 48 three-pointers, while Amey has 47. Vide adds 14.2 points per game and leads the team with 4.9 assists, and Jalen Shelley contributes 12.6 points per game.
