Following that, the panel shared their predictions for the NFC Championship Game in Seattle. Both Bradshaw and Howie Long supported the Seahawks as favorites to reach the Super Bowl, while Michael Strahan and Rob Gronkowski backed the Rams.

Despite being in his 17th season, Stafford delivered what many considered his finest performance, playing for both Detroit and Los Angeles. He appeared in every game this season, throwing for 4,707 yards with 46 touchdowns. His impressive stats included leading the NFL in passing yards and touchdowns while only throwing eight interceptions. This performance helped the Rams finish the season with a 12-5 record in the challenging NFC West.

After delivering an MVP-worthy performance that defied his age, rumors began circulating in Los Angeles about Stafford considering his future in the NFL. Entering the 2025 season, he had seriously thought about retiring due to persistent back issues. However, the veteran quarterback believes he still has more to offer after a season that positioned him as the top MVP candidate, surpassing New England Patriots rookie Drake Maye. With his 38th birthday approaching, Ian Rapoport reported that Stafford may continue playing.

“Stafford has told people close to him that he still has some good football left, telling them no matter what, he wants to be back next year,” Rapoport said.

Stafford is currently under contract through the 2026 season, and despite his age, his football intelligence continues to make the Rams a strong contender for the upcoming season. Notably, the team had previously considered pursuing Aaron Rodgers instead of Stafford during the previous campaign.
