Mike Macdonald, who came to Seattle after a successful run as the Ravens’ defensive coordinator, has implemented schemes that have led to a fantastic season. The Seahawks do everything well, but their defense is clearly a championship unit. If they can run effectively against a New England defense that had some poor performances stopping the run before turning it around in the playoffs, Seattle will have a good shot at securing their second Super Bowl title in franchise history.

Who Has the Juice Going In

It’s hard not to side with the Seahawks, who played very well near the end of the season and capped an NFC title by defeating a strong Rams team. Seattle has been the best team in the NFL over the course of the season and should feel confident heading into Super Bowl LX. However, the Patriots aren’t in the Super Bowl by accident. They barely remember what it’s like to lose, having won 16 of 17 games since a 1-2 start, including the playoffs. With an MVP-level quarterback in Drake Maye and strong coaching, the Patriots will feel good about their chances as well. While the Seahawks might feel a little better, it should be a very competitive Super Bowl.
