The weekend of football in the Premier League was filled with dramatic twists and turns. Arsenal, who had been leading the league, saw their lead reduced to four points after a 2-3 loss at home to Manchester United. Liverpool suffered a last-gasp defeat to Bournemouth, marking the third time this season they have conceded an injury-time winner. Their 13-game unbeaten streak in all competitions came to an end. Meanwhile, Chelsea continued their push for the top four with a 3-1 win over Crystal Palace. João Pedro has been instrumental, scoring more goals and being involved in more goals than any other player for the club since his debut.

In LaLiga, Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid all secured victories, maintaining their positions in the league. Bayern Munich saw their lead over Borussia Dortmund drop to eight points after a first loss of the season against FC Augsburg. This ended Bayern’s 27-game league unbeaten streak. It was also the first time in the last 15 seasons that Bayern Munich lost a Bundesliga match after leading in the final 20 minutes.

Ligue 1 Results

Paris Saint-Germain reclaimed the top spot in Ligue 1 after a 1-0 win over Auxerre. Marseille defeated title challengers Lens 3-1. Endrick scored a hat trick in Lyon’s 5-2 win, becoming the first player 19 years or younger to achieve this feat in Ligue 1 since Kylian Mbappé in 2018.
