Bo Nix’s Football Card Market Faces Uncertainty

Collectors who have been waiting for the right moment to invest in Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix’s football cards may soon find themselves at a crossroads. Whether or not the Broncos advance to the Super Bowl, Nix’s second season in Denver came to an end with a home playoff victory over the Buffalo Bills on Saturday. However, an ankle injury requiring season-ending surgery means that Nix will not be back under center until the 2026 season.

This development has sparked interest in how the market will react to Nix’s absence. While the Broncos’ success this season has solidified Nix as their franchise quarterback, his injury could impact the value of his cards in the short term.

Stidham’s Rise and Nix’s Legacy

Jarrett Stidham, who has taken over for Nix, has seen a noticeable increase in the value of his own football cards. According to Card Ladder, Stidham’s cards accounted for $832.07 in online sales on Saturday, marking his best single-day sales volume since Card Ladder began tracking daily transactions for his cards in February 2023.

Despite this, Nix remains the cornerstone of the Broncos’ future. His performance through two seasons has been impressive, with the team finishing the regular season with a 14-3 record and securing the top seed in the AFC playoffs.

Nix tied Russell Wilson’s NFL record for the most regular-season wins by a quarterback in their first two seasons (24). He also became the first quarterback in league history to win at least 20 regular-season games, throw for at least 7,500 yards, and record at least 50 passing touchdowns in his first two seasons.

This success has contributed to a strong presence in the football card market, especially heading into the postseason.

Bo Nix Card Sales and Market Trends

In December, Nix’s cards generated more than $1.27 million in eBay sales, according to GemRate.com. This marked a recovery from a decline in sales volume after a high of $1.52 million in August. Over the course of 2025, Nix’s cards generated more than $13.7 million in eBay sales.

Looking further into GemRate’s data, it becomes clear that Nix’s injury could significantly impact the market. After a strong start to the year, his January sales were affected by a loss to the Bills in the AFC Wild Card game. February was his worst month in terms of eBay sales volume, with only $897,141 in sales.

Even if the Broncos advance to the Super Bowl, Nix’s absence could lead to a cyclical dip in card prices. Additionally, the 2024 draft class includes other quarterbacks like Jayden Daniels, Drake Maye, and Caleb Williams, whose performances could shift attention away from Nix’s cards.

Post-Injury Sales and Future Outlook

The first day of sales for PSA 10 copies of Nix’s 2024 Panini Prizm Football (#309) Silver rookie card provides some insight into where the market might head. Four verified sales averaged $537.25, showing a slight downward trend from recent weeks where the card sold for over $600.

While these sales don’t directly predict the future of Nix’s card market, they do indicate a potential shift in demand. The card’s current high sale is $875, set in a Jan. 9 eBay auction.
