Draymond Green Out for Tonight’s Game Against the Heat

Green recently delivered a strong performance against the Charlotte Hornets, scoring 20 points, dishing out six assists, and grabbing three rebounds. In positive news for the team, Jimmy Butler was not listed on the injury report after missing the previous game due to personal reasons. “I’m not surprised that Rich said that because Rich and I talked, and he told me that years ago, he’s saying that to Moses,” Green explained.

He clarified that the intention was not for Moody to replace him directly, but rather for him to become so valuable that the team couldn’t afford to keep Green. “You become so valuable to a team that they can’t afford to keep Draymond. But you’re young, so they push him out,” Green added.

Green revealed that he has felt for many years that the Warriors were trying to push him out. “They drafted Eric Paschall, they drafted Kevon Looney, and they drafted Jordan Bell. They really drafted all of these guys to take my spot,” he said.

While Looney and Jordan Bell found their roles, Green emphasized that his position on the team has never been taken. “That’s what general managers are doing. They are drafting guys to take on the spot of the guys who are making the big money, so they can move off them, reset the cap. That’s just the job, right? And so I don’t make anything of that, but I definitely understood it.”
