2026 Farmers Insurance Open: PGA Tour Stars and Rankings
The 2026 Farmers Insurance Open Field Is Finalized
The 2026 Farmers Insurance Open has officially finalized its field with the passing of the PGA Tour tournament entry deadline. This prestigious event, part of the FedEx Cup series, will take place at Torrey Pines Golf Courses in La Jolla, California, from January 29 to February 1, 2026. It marks the third tournament on the 2026 PGA Tour schedule and is set to feature a full-field competition.
This year’s lineup includes some of the biggest names in professional golf, such as Brooks Koepka, Ludvig Aberg, Xander Schauffele, and many more. Harris English, the defending champion, is among the players looking to make a strong return.
Tournament Structure and Format
The tournament will be contested by 144 players over four days, offering 500 FedEx Cup points to the winner. The event is scheduled to be played in its originally intended slot, continuing the 2026 PGA Tour season in the mainland United States with a full-field event. Depending on the outcome of The American Express, the field could potentially expand to include an even number of players, accommodating Brooks Koepka’s entry under the Returning Member Program.
There are also four Monday qualifiers for this event, which will be held from Thursday through Sunday. These qualifiers provide additional opportunities for players who may not have initially secured their spots in the main field.
Alternate List and Contenders
An alternate list has already been established for the Farmers Insurance Open, with the top name on the list ready to replace any withdrawn players. Matt Kuchar and Justin Lower are the first names on this list.
The prize purse for the tournament stands at $9.6 million, with 28 of the top 50 players in the Official World Golf Ranking participating. This mix of elite talent and emerging stars promises to make the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open a highly competitive event.
