Oklahoma Sooners experienced a significant turnaround in their 2025 season. After finishing with a 6-7 record, including a 2-6 mark in the Southeastern Conference (SEC), the team improved to a 10-3 record and a 6-2 conference record in just their second year in the league. Under the leadership of fourth-year head coach Brent Venables, the Sooners made it to the College Football Playoff, where they were eliminated in the first round by Alabama.

With the offseason now upon us, there will be a lot of player movement between now and the next season. Much of this movement will occur through the NCAA Transfer Portal. Unlike previous years, there will only be one portal window this season, running from January 2 to January 16. This timeframe is also different from prior years.

At the start of the 2025 season, Oklahoma had 111 players on the roster. We will track how this number changes between now and the first game of the 2026 season on September 5th. The Sooners will lose players to the NFL Draft, due to a lack of remaining eligibility, and some will also leave for the transfer portal. However, OU signed 24 players via high school recruiting on December 3rd, and they will also add players through the portal.

Here, we’ll take a look at what the Sooners are gaining and losing in the transfer portal, with what you need to know about each incoming and outgoing player.

Incoming Players

Fred Hinton, OL via Eastern Kentucky

Former Eastern Kentucky offensive lineman Fred Hinton has signed with Oklahoma out of the transfer portal. Hinton spent two seasons at EKU, starting six games in 23 total appearances. He stands 6-foot-4 and weighs 318 pounds. Hinton brings two seasons of eligibility with him to Norman, and though he started five games at left tackle for the Colonels a year ago, he joins the Sooners as another depth piece up front for the offense. He hails from the famous IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.

Benjamin McCreary, RB via Incarnate Word

Former Incarnate Word running back Benjamin McCreary has signed with Oklahoma out of the transfer portal. McCreary arrives as a redshirt senior with one more year of eligibility remaining. He spent his first two years of college football at the Division II level with West Texas A&M, and he’s spent the last two seasons at the FCS level with UIW. Hailing from San Antonio, Texas, McCreary stands at 5-foot-10 and weighs 210 pounds, and he’ll be adding more depth in the RB room for the Sooners.

Prince Ijioma, DB via Mississippi Valley State

Former Mississippi Valley State defensive back Prince Ijioma has committed to Oklahoma out of the transfer portal. Ijioma spent two years at MVSU, and he’ll arrive in Norman with two more seasons of eligibility remaining. He was a key piece for the Delta Devils in 2025 as a sophomore, and he’ll bring size (6-foot-3, 190 pounds) to OU’s cornerback room. Coming up from the FCS level to the SEC, Ijioma is set to provide CB depth for the Sooners in 2026, as Oklahoma lost a lot of backups at that spot to the portal during this cycle.

Jack Van Dorselaer, TE via Tennessee

Former Tennessee tight end Jack Van Dorselaer has committed to Oklahoma out of the transfer portal. Van Dorselaer was a true freshman in 2025, and he’ll arrive in Norman with three more years of eligibility remaining, after playing in every game for the Volunteers last year. He has experience in the SEC, and he’ll add youth, size, and potential to OU’s rebuilt tight end room. Dorselaer caught five passes for 23 yards and a touchdown in 2025, and he checks in a 6-foot-5 and 245 pounds.

Bishop Thomas, DL via Georgia State

Former Georgia State defensive lineman Bishop Thomas has committed to Oklahoma out of the transfer portal. Thomas has one year of eligibility left, and he enjoyed a breakout redshirt junior season last year with the Panthers. He’s a veteran who has played four years of college football already, and he’ll be bringing depth and experience to the defensive tackle position for the Sooners. Last year, Thomas registered 48 tackles, 3.5 TFLs, and 1.5 sacks, and he’ll have a real chance to be a contributor for OU’s defense in 2026.

Outgoing Players

Adepoju Adebawore, DL

Defensive lineman Adepoju Adebawore entered the transfer portal for a matter of minutes, before withdrawing his name in short order. Adebawore has spent three seasons in Norman, and he arrived at Oklahoma as a five-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting class. He was a junior in 2025, and he played in all 13 games this past season. Adebawore is expected to compete to be a starter at defensive end for the Sooners in 2026, and is a player that OU clearly wanted to retain. He has one more year of collegiate eligibility remaining.

Mackenzie Alleyne, WR via Washington State

Former Washington State wide receiver Mackenzie Alleyne has committed to Oklahoma out of the transfer portal. Alleyne spent two seasons with the Cougars, and he was a redshirt freshman in 2025, meaning he’ll come to Norman with three seasons of eligibility remaining. He caught four passes for 72 yards and a touchdown in 13 games for WSU this past year, and he started his career as a walk-on in Pullman. Alleyne brings youth and depth to Oklahoma’s wide receiver room; two things the Sooners need at the wideout spot.

Peyton Joseph, OL via Georgia Tech

Former Georgia Tech offensive lineman Peyton Joseph has committed to Oklahoma out of the transfer portal. Joseph arrives in Norman with multiple years of eligibility remaining, after spending his true freshman season with the Yellow Jackets. He appeared in just six games in 2025, but the Sooners are getting a young player who was a four-star prospect coming out of high school, and who should provide some good depth in a position group that needs it.

Siolaa Lolohea, DL

Defensive lineman Siolaa Lolohea has entered the transfer portal. He spent one season at Oklahoma, after a redshirt year at Oklahoma State in 2023, and a 2024 season at Utah State where he played in eight games. Lolohea hails from Trinity High School in Euless, Texas, and he stands at 6-foot-3 and weighs 300 pounds. He did not see the field for the Sooners this season, though he did provide important depth along the defensive line.

Kenneth Wermy, OL via Central Oklahoma

Former Central Oklahoma offensive lineman Kenneth Wermy has committed to Oklahoma out of the transfer portal. Wermy spent the 2023 and 2024 seasons at OU, before transferring out to play at UCO in 2025. He’s set to return and add depth up front offensively for the Sooners, after playing at the NCAA Division II level for the Bronchos this past season. Oklahoma lost a lot of o-line depth in the portal, and they’ll try to build it back up this offseason.

Zion Ragins, WR (to Mississippi State)

Wide receiver Zion Ragins has entered the transfer portal. Ragins was a sophomore for the Sooners in 2025, and he redshirted this past season, after he started in five games as a true freshman in 2024. With Oklahoma dealing with widespread WR injuries in 2024, Ragins got an opportunity to play a lot of football, but he caught just 10 passes in OU’s offense that year. As the Sooners continue an overhaul at the wideout spot for the second straight year, the former four-star prospect will be on the move. Ragins has transferred to play for Mississippi State in 2026.

Jaydan Hardy, DB (to Colorado)

Defensive back Jaydan Hardy has entered the transfer portal. Hardy spent two seasons in Norman, after arriving as a member of the 2024 recruiting class. His role increased at the safety position in 2025, and he was set up to challenge for a starting role in 2026. Hardy was a sophomore for the Sooners this past season, and he played in all 13 games during OU’s run to the College Football Playoff, meaning he’ll have two years of eligibility left. His biggest play at Oklahoma came when he forced a fumble on a punt return during OU’s regular season win over Alabama. Hardy transferred to play for Colorado in 2026.

Sammy Omosigho, LB (to UCLA)

Linebacker Sammy Omosigho has entered the transfer portal. Omosigho was a junior in 2025, and had spent three seasons in Norman, after arriving as part of the 2023 recruiting class. He’d seemingly found a spot in OU’s defense as an inside linebacker, and he was projected to play a big role in 2026, even possibly carving out a starting role. Omosigho totaled 97 tackles, two sacks and one forced fumble in his time with the Sooners, and his exit leaves Oklahoma very thin at inside linebacker moving forward. Omosigho transferred to play for UCLA in 2026.

Cole Sullivan, LB via Michigan

Former Michigan linebacker Cole Sullivan has committed to OU out of the transfer portal. Sullivan spent two years with the Wolverines, and he played in 23 games during his time in Ann Arbor. As a sophomore in 2025, he became part of Michigan’s linebacker rotation, and he recorded 44 total tackles, five TFLs, two sacks, and three interceptions. He arrives in Norman with two more years of eligibility remaining, and he projects as a key piece for the Sooners at LB next season.

Javonnie Gibson, WR (to Cincinnati)

Wide receiver Javonnie Gibson has entered the transfer portal. Gibson missed the first four games of the 2025 season due to an injury he suffered in spring ball, but he played in the final nine games of the year. Gibson was a starter for the majority of Oklahoma’s stretch run to the College Football Playoff, and he was projected to be a big part of the passing game in 2026. However, with the new additions that the Sooners have made at wide receiver in the portal, Gibson clearly felt that it was time to transfer again. He played just one year in Norman, and has one year of eligibility remaining. Gibson transferred to play for Cincinnati in 2026.

Ivan Carreon, WR

Wide receiver Ivan Carreon decided to enter the transfer portal on January 6th. After nearly two weeks in the portal, he withdrew his name and returned to Oklahoma on January 19th. Carreon has spent two seasons with the Sooners, after arriving as a four-star prospect in the 2024 recruiting class out of Odessa, Texas. Carreon hasn’t yet been able to carve out a consistent role at WR in Norman, but he’ll return to OU with two seasons of eligibility remaining. Carreon stands at 6-foot-6 and weighs 224 pounds, and though he’ll likely be in a reserve role in 2026, he could find a bigger role with the Sooners down the road, if he stays at Oklahoma beyond this upcoming season.

Kenny Ozowalu, DL via UTSA

Former UTSA defensive lineman Kenny Ozowalu has committed to the Sooners out of the transfer portal. Ozowalu was a redshirt freshman for the Roadrunners in 2025, and he’ll arrive in Norman with three seasons of eligibility left. He’s a versatile player on the defensive front, capable of playing defensive tackle or defensive end. With Oklahoma needing to reload a bit on the defensive line, Ozowalu has a chance to play a key role for OU next year, after picking the Sooners over many other SEC schools.

Parker Livingstone, WR via Texas

Former Texas wide receiver Parker Livingstone has committed to Oklahoma out of the transfer portal. Livingstone spent two seasons with the Longhorns, and he arrives at OU with three seasons of eligibility remaining. He caught 29 passes for 516 yards and six touchdowns for the ‘Horns this past season. Livingstone was a big priority for the Sooners in the portal, and he’ll now cross the Red River to try and help aid the Oklahoma passing game in 2026, after a standout redshirt freshman season in Austin.

Zion Kearney, WR (to Wisconsin)

Wide receiver Zion Kearney has entered the transfer portal after spending two seasons at Oklahoma. Kearney arrived in Norman as a member of the 2024 recruiting class, and he took on a larger role than expected as a true freshman, due to widespread injuries among the wideouts. He played in 11 games in 2024, and was expected to have a role in the OU passing game in 2025. However, the Sooners added some key portal additions at WR last offseason that kept him from having a breakout year in 2025, and he’s decided to look for a bigger role elsewhere. Kearney transferred to play for Wisconsin in 2026.

Dakoda Fields, DB via Oregon

Former Oregon defensive back Dakoda Fields has committed to Oklahoma out of the transfer portal. He spent two seasons with the Ducks, and he arrives at OU with three more years of eligibility remaining. He brings size to the cornerback position at 6-foot-2 and 190 pounds, and will help add depth to a cornerback room that has seen a few portal exits. Fields is a former four-star prospect from the 2024 recruiting class, and he will be in the mix to potentially break into the CB rotation and get more snaps in 2026.

Rocky Beers, TE via Colorado State

Former Colorado State tight end Rocky Beers has committed to Oklahoma out of the portal. Beers caught seven touchdowns in 2025 on 31 receptions for 388 yards, and he offers great size at 6-foot-5 and 245 pounds. Beers also offers plenty of experience, as he played two years at Air Force and two years at FIU before his one year at CSU. He’ll have just one year of eligibility remaining when he arrives in Norman as a big part of OU’s tight end room rebuild.

Lloyd Avant, RB via Colorado State

Former Colorado State running back Lloyd Avant has committed to play for the Sooners out of the transfer portal. Avant has two years of eligibility remaining, after spending his freshman year at Tulsa and his sophomore year at CSU. Avant was the second-leading rusher for the Rams in 2025, and he scored six total touchdowns this past season. As Oklahoma looks to rebuild depth in the running back room via the portal, Avant is a versatile piece who can perhaps take some of the load off of the starters that OU already has returning at RB.

E’Marion Harris, OL via Arkansas

Former Arkansas offensive lineman E’Marion Harris has committed to play for Oklahoma out of the portal. He’s been a starter over the last two years for the Razorbacks, and started 11 games at right tackle in Fayetteville in 2025. He’d been at Arkansas since 2022, and he arrives in Norman with one more year of eligibility remaining. With the Sooners losing a lot of offensive linemen to the portal this offseason, Harris is a player that can provide depth and/or push to be a starter up front for OU’s offense.

Trell Harris, WR via Virginia

Former Virginia wide receiver Trell Harris has committed to play for the Sooners out of the portal. He arrives in Norman with one year of eligibility remaining, after beginning his college career at Kent State. Harris reeled in five touchdowns on 59 receptions for 847 yards for the Cavaliers in 2025. He was an all-ACC wideout this past year, as the Cavs made a run to the ACC title game in 2025. Harris is set to be a dynamic playmaker in the passing game for the Sooners, and he helps address a big need for Oklahoma in the portal.

Caleb Nitta, OL via Western Kentucky

Former Western Kentucky offensive lineman Caleb Nitta has committed to play for Oklahoma out of the transfer portal. Nitta adds depth at the interior offensive line positions, especially at the center spot, where he started nine games for the Hilltoppers in 2025. Before transferring to WKU, Nitta originally played at Virginia Tech. Nitta began his college career as a walk-on, but he’s turned into a very reliable player along the offensive line. The Sooners hope he can do the same during his time in Norman.

Hayden Hansen, TE via Florida

Former Florida tight end Hayden Hansen is OU’s first commitment out of the transfer portal. He brings durability and SEC experience to Norman, as he’s started 34 games for the Gators over the last three years. Hansen also brings size at 6-foot-8 and 269 pounds, and he’s typically used as a blocking tight end. As the Sooners rebuild the tight end position, they’ll be bringing in a player who will be a redshirt senior with one year of eligibility remaining. Oklahoma will still be looking to add more tight ends to the roster via the portal, but Hansen is a player they identified early on that they wanted to sign.

Taylor Tatum, RB (to Michigan)

Running back Taylor Tatum has entered the transfer portal, after spending two seasons at Oklahoma. Tatum was the top running back prospect in the 2024 recruiting class, and he showed some promise as a true freshman. However, he saw the field less and less as that season wore on, and he only played in one game as a sophomore for the Sooners in 2025, as he dealt with injuries. Tatum is a two-sport athlete from Longview, Texas that also played baseball for OU. He’ll look to capitalize on his potential as a recruit at his new school. Tatum transferred to play for Michigan in 2026. He’ll reportedly start out playing defensive back for the Wolverines, instead of running back.

Jake Taylor, OL (to Iowa State)

Offensive lineman Jake Taylor is expected to hit the transfer portal when it opens on January 2nd. Taylor was a redshirt junior in 2025, and he spent four years in Norman after arriving as a member of the 2022 recruiting class. Taylor was a backup in 2022 and 2023, but he was expected to be the starter at right tackle in 2024. Instead, he started in and played in just 4 games that season, due to injuries. In 2025, he didn’t play at all, again due to injuries. Taylor’s exit leaves the Sooners very thin at offensive tackle, and the veteran will hope for better injury luck moving forward. Taylor transferred to play for Iowa State in 2026.

Carson Kent, TE (to Pittsburgh)

Tight end Carson Kent is expected to hit the portal when it opens on January 2nd. Kent spent just one year at OU, and he was a redshirt junior in 2025. Kent transferred in after spending three years at Kennesaw State, and he played in all 13 games this season. Kent was mainly used as a blocking tight end when he was on the field, and he caught just three passes for 26 yards this season. He’ll now look for his next school, where he’ll have one year of eligibility remaining. Kent transferred to play for Pittsburgh in 2026.

Markus Strong, DL (to Clemson)

Defensive lineman Markus Strong intends to enter the transfer portal when it opens on January 2nd. Strong was a redshirt sophomore in 2025, after arriving in Norman as part of the 2023 recruiting class. Strong played in 10 games this year, serving as the fifth defensive tackle in an absolutely loaded room. Despite being behind some stars on the depth chart, Strong flashed plenty of promise and potential this season, and he was expected to have a much larger role in 2026. Now, he will likely find himself as a starter at his next school. Strong transferred to play for Clemson in 2026.

KJ Daniels, WR (to UAB)

Wide receiver KJ Daniels is set to enter the portal when it opens on January 2nd. Daniels was a redshirt freshman in 2025 for the Sooners, who did not see the field during his two seasons at Oklahoma. He arrived in Norman as a part of the 2024 recruiting class, where he was a three-star recruit out of Franklinton, Louisiana. Daniels is a speedy target, who also competed in track and field when he was in high school, but he has yet to make his college football debut. Daniels transferred to play for UAB in 2026.

Josiah Martin, WR (to North Texas)

Wide receiver Josiah Martin is set to hit the portal when it opens on January 2nd. Martin was a sophomore in 2025, after transferring to OU from Cal last offseason. Martin didn’t have much of an impact with the Sooners, appearing in just two games this past season, and not registering a catch or a rushing attempt. As a true freshman with the Golden Bears, he caught 12 passes for 112 yards, and ran five times for 44 yards and a touchdown. He’ll have three years of eligibility remaining going forward. Martin has transferred to play for North Texas in 2026.

Logan Howland, OL (to Virginia Tech)

Offensive lineman Logan Howland is set to enter the portal when it opens on January 2nd. Howland was a redshirt sophomore in 2025, and he played in five games this past season, serving as OU’s top swing tackle, and providing much-needed depth on the offensive line. Howland is capable of playing both left tackle and right tackle, and he started six games on the left side in 2024. The Sooners had injuries at both tackle spots this year, and Howland’s presence as a depth piece will be missed. Howland spent three total seasons in Norman, and he’ll have two more years of eligibility left at his new school. Howland has transferred to play for Virginia Tech in 2026.

Gentry Williams, DB (to Georgia)

Defensive back Gentry Williams is set to enter the portal when it opens on January 2nd. Williams was a redshirt junior for the Sooners in 2025, and he played in six games this past year. When he was healthy, Williams was a very good starting cornerback for OU’s defense, but he struggled with injuries throughout his Oklahoma career. He started 10 games in 2023 at CB, and was the starter to open the 2025 season, before going down with an injury midseason. Williams has been in Norman since the 2022 season, and he’ll have one year of eligibility remaining at his new school. Williams has transferred to play for Georgia in 2026.

Maliek Hawkins, DB (to West Virginia)

Defensive back Maliek Hawkins intends to enter the transfer portal when it opens on January 2nd. He was a true freshman this past season, coming in as part of OU’s 2025 recruiting class. He played in just one game during his time in Norman. Hawkins was a three-star recruit who played cornerback for the Sooners. Hawkins has transferred to play for West Virginia in 2026.

Michael Hawkins Jr., QB (to West Virginia)

Quarterback Michael Hawkins Jr. is set to enter the transfer portal when it opens on January 2nd. He was a sophomore in 2025, after starting four games under center in 2024 as a true freshman. He made another start in 2025 in a win over Kent State, and he went 2-3 overall as the starting quarterback during his OU career. Hawkins was a four-star recruit in the 2024 class, and chose to stay in Norman during a QB room rebuild ahead of the 2025 season. He redshirted this past year, and has the potential and the tools to turn into a really good signal-caller. Hawkins transferred to play for West Virginia in 2026. He’ll be in line to compete for the starting QB job for the Mountaineers for this upcoming season.

Devon Jordan, DB (to Baylor)

Defensive back Devon Jordan is set to enter the transfer portal when it opens on January 2nd. Jordan was a sophomore in 2025, who got valuable snaps at cornerback for an excellent Sooners defense. After arriving in Norman as part of the 2024 recruiting class, he played in all 13 games this year, after appearing in 12 games in 2024. He had a huge sack in OU’s regular season win over Alabama, and he’d become a key part of the CB rotation for the Sooners. Jordan transferred to play for Baylor in 2026.

Luke Baklenko, OL (to Arizona State)

Offensive lineman Luke Baklenko intends to enter the transfer portal when it opens on January 2nd. The junior spent just one year at OU, after playing the first two years of his college career at Stanford. Baklenko played in 12 games for the Sooners in 2025, and was a backup at the offensive tackle spots. Most of his action on offense came against Illinois State and Texas, but he had a presence all season long on special teams for Oklahoma. He’ll hit the portal with one year of eligibility remaining. Baklenko has transferred to play for Arizona State in 2026.

Jakeb Snyder, WR

Wide receiver Jakeb Snyder intends to enter the portal when it opens on January 2nd. The redshirt sophomore spent three seasons at OU, and the former walk-on was originally a defensive back, before switching to WR ahead of the 2025 season. Snyder played in just two games in three years, making appearances on special teams against Temple and Maine in 2024. He’s a local product from Bixby, Oklahoma and he helped the Bixby Spartans win three-straight state championships in high school.

Troy Everett, OL (to Ole Miss)

Offensive lineman Troy Everett intends to enter the transfer portal when it opens on January 2nd. He was a redshirt senior and a captain for the Sooners in 2025, and he’ll be playing his sixth year of college football elsewhere in 2026. Everett played at Appalachian State in 2021 and 2022, before his three years in Norman from 2023 to 2025. The veteran started four games at left guard for the Sooners in 2023, started seven games at center in 2024, and was the Week 1 starter at center in 2025, before going down with a season-ending injury in that game. Because of that injury that cost him the 2025 season, he’ll have one final year of eligibility remaining. Everett transferred to play for Ole Miss in 2026.

Marcus Wimberly, DB (to Utah)

Defensive back Marcus Wimberly intends to enter the portal when it opens on January 2nd. He played safety for the Sooners, but he didn’t see the field during his one year in Norman. Wimberly took a redshirt for his true freshman season, after he underwent shoulder surgery in June. At 6-foot-1 and 193 pounds, he was a member of OU’s 2025 recruiting class, leaving his home state of Arkansas to sign with the Sooners. Despite losing Wimberly to the portal, Oklahoma is not short on young depth and potential at the safety position moving forward. Wimberly transferred to play for Utah in 2026.

Jovantae Barnes, RB (to Kentucky)

Running back Jovantae Barnes is set to enter the portal when it opens on January 2nd. He was a senior in 2025, and he played in the first four games of the season, but wouldn’t see the field for the rest of the year. Barnes has been a Sooner since 2022, and OU’s starting running back at various points in time over those four seasons. He led Oklahoma in rushing in 2024, and opened this past season as the starter. He’ll have one year of eligibility left after 13 touchdowns and nearly 1,500 yards in Norman. Barnes transferred to play for Kentucky in 2026.

Jacob Sexton, OL (to Oklahoma State)

Offensive lineman Jacob Sexton is expected to enter the portal when it officially opens on January 2nd. He was a senior in 2025, but he only appeared in one game, the season opener against Illinois State. He’s dealt with injuries for nearly his entire college career, which severely limited his ability to stay on the field, as did an infusion of youth on OU’s offensive line in 2025. The former four-star recruit in the 2022 class has started 13 games over four seasons with the Sooners, and he’ll have one more season of eligibility remaining. Sexton transferred to play for Oklahoma State in 2026.

Kaden Helms, TE (to Minnesota)

Tight end Kaden Helms is expected to enter the transfer portal when it officially opens on January 2nd. Helms had his best year as a Sooner in 2025, often serving as OU’s second-best option at tight end this past season. He emerged as the best blocker of the bunch, and he caught a touchdown in 2025. The redshirt junior had just three receptions as a Sooner prior to this year, but now leaves in search of a bigger role at a different school. Helms transferred to play for Minnesota in 2026.

Isaiah Dent, OL (to Mississippi State)

Offensive lineman Isaiah Dent is expected to enter the transfer portal when it opens on January 2nd. Dent just finished his redshirt freshman season in Norman, after arriving in Oklahoma as a part of the 2024 recruiting class. He played in just one game as a Sooner, and it came against Maine in 2024. Dent was a consensus three-star recruit out of high school, and is the cousin of former OU running back Marcus Dupree. Dent transferred to play for Mississippi State in 2026.

Kobie McKinzie, LB (to Northwestern)

Linebacker Kobie McKinzie is expected to enter the transfer portal when it opens on January 2nd. He spent four seasons in Norman, and was a starter at inside linebacker for the first two months of the 2025 season. However, his production and playing time waned down the stretch, and the redshirt junior became a backup for the majority of OU’s “Red November”. He’ll have one season of eligibility remaining after his time at Oklahoma. McKinzie transferred to play for Northwestern in 2026.

Kendel Dolby, DB (to Mississippi State)

Defensive back Kendel Dolby is set to hit the portal when it officially opens on January 2nd. He was a breakout player at the Cheetah position for OU’s defense in 2023, and was a starter in 2024. Unfortunately, he suffered a season-ending injury in the 2024 Tennessee game that ultimately sent his Oklahoma career in a different direction. Dolby returned in 2025, but took snaps at a few different positions, including cornerback. He didn’t see the field after the Texas game, and ultimately chose to preserve his redshirt. Dolby transferred to play for Mississippi State in 2026.

Jayden Gibson, WR (to South Carolina)

Wide receiver Jayden Gibson will enter the transfer portal when it opens on January 2nd. Gibson hasn’t been with the program since mid-October, and he hasn’t been on the field since 2023. After a really nice stretch of games that year, he suffered a season-ending injury ahead of what was supposed to be a breakout 2024 campaign. Though he was expected to be back in 2025, Gibson suffered an injury setback ahead of spring ball that ultimately derailed his time in Norman. He was the first departure from OU’s 2025 roster, and the only one to happen during the regular season. Gibson transferred to play for South Carolina in 2026.
