The nasty weather isn’t all bad.

Schools across Ocean and Monmouth counties are starting to make decisions about Monday. In fact, many places have decided to cancel Monday activities. Here’s a list of places that are closed due to the weekend’s snowstorm.

Monmouth County Closures

• Asbury Park schools will be closed on Monday.
• Avon School District will be closed Monday.
• Belmar Elementary will be closed Monday.
• Brielle Elementary will be closed Monday.
• Brookdale Community College will be closed and all classes are canceled on Monday, Jan. 26.
• Colts Neck Township Schools will be closed Monday.
• Eatontown Public Schools will be closed Monday.
• Fair Haven Schools will be closed on Jan. 26.
• Freehold Borough Schools will be closed on Monday. All after-school and evening activities are canceled. Additionally, icy road conditions may impact school operations on Tuesday. Parents will be notified as soon as a decision is made.
• Freehold Regional High School District schools and offices will be closed on Monday, January 26.
• Freehold Township School District will be closed on Monday.
• Hazlet Township Public Schools will be closed Monday.
• Henry Hudson Regional schools will be closed Monday.
• Holmdel Township School District will be closed Monday.
• Howell K-8 schools will be closed Monday.
• Keansburg School District will be closed Monday.
• Keyport Public Schools will be closed Monday.
• Little Silver Public Schools will be closed Monday.
• Long Branch Public Schools will be closed Monday. The KLC program will also be closed.
• Manalapan-Englishtown Regional School District will be closed Monday.
• Manasquan School District will be closed for the in-service day on Monday. Staff in-service day will be conducted using the work from home plan communicated to staff last week.
• Marlboro K-8 schools are closed Monday. All recreation programs are canceled.
• Marlboro’s recycling center will be closed Monday.
• Matawan-Aberdeen Regional schools will be closed on Jan. 26. Additionally, all after school activities, including the Y-time program, are canceled.
• Middletown Township School District will be closed Monday.
• Monmouth County Vocational School District will be closed Monday. Friday, Feb. 13, is now a school day.
• Monmouth Ocean Educational Services Commission and The Shore Center will be closed Monday.
• Monmouth Regional High School will be closed Monday.
• Monmouth University will be closed on Sunday, Jan. 25 and Monday, Jan. 26. All classes and activities are canceled. Essential personnel must report as directed by their supervisors.
• Neptune City School District will be closed Monday. This closure includes all school activities, programs, and after-school events.
• Neptune Township Schools will be closed Monday.
• Oceanport schools will be closed Monday.
• Red Bank Borough Public Schools (preschool through eighth grade) will be closed Monday.
• Red Bank Regional High School will be closed Monday.
• Roosevelt Public School will be closed on Monday. All afterschool activities are canceled.
• Rumson School District will be closed Monday.
• Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School will be closed Monday. All school activities, extracurriculars and events are canceled. School officials ask community members not to park on school grounds, which impedes snow removal. If the school remains closed on Tuesday, the school board meeting will be held virtually.
• Sea Girt Elementary will be closed Monday. The school calendar will change because of the snow day. March 16 will now be an early dismissal day for students, followed by staff professional development in the afternoon. This replaces the previously scheduled no-student day.
• Shore Regional High School will be closed Monday.
• Shrewsbury Borough School will be closed Monday.
• Tinton Falls School District will be closed Monday.
• Township of Ocean School District will be closed Monday.
• Upper Freehold Regional School District will be closed Monday.
• Wall Township Public Schools will be closed Monday.
• West Long Branch Schools will be closed Monday.

Ocean County Closures

• Barnegat schools will be closed Monday, Jan. 26.
• Berkeley Township schools will be closed Monday.
• Brick Township schools will now be closed on Monday. Further updates will be communicated and posted to the district website www.brickschools.org.
• Central Regional School District will be closed Monday.
• Eagleswood Elementary will be closed Monday.
• Georgian Court University‘s Lakewood campus will operate virtually all day Sunday and Monday. University offices, including the library, will also operate virtually. Classes will continue online to the degree possible. Students should consult Blackboard Learn for details. For in-person classes not held at the Georgian Court campus in Lakewood, GCU classes will comply with the cancelation/closure decision of the location where classes are held.
• Island Heights School District will be closed Monday.
• Jackson Township Schools will be closed Monday, Jan. 26.
• Jackson’s recycling pickup will be delayed a day. Monday pickup will now be Tuesday, Tuesday will be Wednesday, Wednesday will be Thursday, Thursday will be Friday and Friday will now be Saturday. This is only for the week of Jan. 26 according to officials. The Recycling Center located on Don Connor Blvd. and the compost site located at the Vista Center will be closed on Sunday, Jan. 25. Conditions will be evaluated on Sunday to determine whether the closure should extend through Monday.
• Lacey Township Schools will be closed Monday.
• Lakehurst Elementary will be closed on Monday.
• Lakewood Public School District will be closed Monday.
• Lakewood municipal court proceedings for Monday will be conducted virtually via Zoom, according to the township website. Please refer to the “Virtual Court Proceedings” section under the Municipal Court Department for zoom information. • Lavallette Elementary School will be closed Monday.
• Little Egg Harbor School District will be closed Monday. School leaders are monitoring conditions and will make a decision about Tuesday by Monday night.
• Long Beach Island Consolidated School District will be closed Monday.
• Manchester Township schools will be closed Monday.
• Ocean County College‘s Toms River and Manahawkin campuses will be closed on Sunday, Jan. 25. All in-person classes and activities are cancelled. Most classes will meet remotely.
• Ocean County Vocational Technical Schools will be closed Monday. All adult education evening classes are canceled.
• Ocean Gate School District will be closed Jan. 26.
• Ocean Township School District (Waretown) will be closed Monday.
• Pinelands Regional School District will be closed on Monday. Additionally, the scheduled Board meeting for Monday evening will be fully virtual.
• Plumsted Township School District will be closed on Monday.
• Point Pleasant Beach Schools are closed Monday.
• Point Pleasant Borough Schools will be closed Monday.
• Saint Dominic School in Brick will be closed Monday. The CSW Bus Driver Appreciation Breakfast will be rescheduled. The CSW Volunteer Appreciation Reception is rescheduled for Monday, Feb. 2.
• Stafford Township School District will be closed Monday.
• Toms River Regional Schools will be closed Monday. All programs, rentals and activities are canceled.
• Tuckerton Borough School District will be closed Monday. The Board of Education meeting will be rescheduled for Feb. 3. The executive session will begin at 4:30 p.m. and the public session will begin at 5:30 p.m.
