San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy and his wife Jenna have experienced a major life change in the past year. In July 2025, Jenna shared the news of their new baby daughter, Millie Joleen Purdy, on Instagram. Since then, Millie has become a fan of the 49ers, with Jenna frequently sharing updates about the family attending games together.

“Millie Joleen Purdy Life just became a whole lot sweeter,” Jenna wrote in an Instagram post on July 28, accompanied by photos of the couple’s newborn. The couple kept Jenna’s pregnancy mostly private, with Jenna sharing an old photo of her baby bump labeled as “Our little secret🤍” in August.

A Surprise Addition to the 49ers Family

The arrival of Millie came at a time when the 49ers were in the early stages of training camp. While many in the football world were surprised, Brock seems to be adapting well to his new role as a father. During a media session on August 1, Purdy expressed his feelings about the new addition.

“I still really can’t describe it,” Purdy said, per 49ers.com’s Briana Jeannel. “Just how awesome it is coming home and seeing little baby girl and holding her and her sleeping on me. There’s nothing better. No gift can compare. And seeing Jenna and how she’s been awesome as a mom, just all of it all together. It’s so good.”

Faith and Love in the Purdy Household

Brock and Jenna are college sweethearts who met while attending Iowa State. They got married on March 9, 2024, in Des Moines, Iowa, and celebrated their honeymoon with a trip to Turks and Caicos, according to Southern Bride. Both have spoken openly about their Christian faith, which plays a significant role in their lives.

After their wedding, Brock shared a message on Instagram that highlighted their faith. “Jenna Joleen Purdy. My wife,” he wrote on April 1, 2024. “No matter the circumstances in our life, Jesus will always be our firm foundation. I love you JP. Ecclesiastes 4:12.”

Jenna also expressed her excitement about starting life with Brock after they became engaged in 2023. “WE GET TO DO LIFE TOGETHER…FOREVER!” she posted on July 2, 2023. “Brock Purdy – I love everything about you & your heart for Jesus more than any words can say.”

Brock recently shared a glimpse into his life as a new father during a press conference. He described the moment he left 49ers practice to be with Jenna during the birth of their daughter.

“Every single morning I’d wake up and go about my day like normal, just waiting for Jenna to send that text,” he recalled, per Yahoo Sports. “Then that morning she had her doula over, and they said, ‘No, this baby’s coming today.’ I called Coach [Kyle] Shanahan and [QB coach Mick Lombardi] and told them I couldn’t make it in. They were great—they said, ‘Enjoy it. Be there for her.’ And sure enough, our baby came that day.”
